the Girl next door WON just accept be happy for her.”

BB voters are always predominantly female juveniles - the viewing demographics are very different

I hope Chavtelle is next to your door - I don't want her next to mine - that repetetive chavtalk drives me mad within a minute - at least while she was in the BB house I could mute her

I didn't mention the audience - see Tinkerbella's thread for a description of last night's attendees

Chantelle was a novelty contestant in the same way Nadia was. They can't not win. None of the other females beat any of the (rather odious) males in there in any public vote and we shall watch all the women fall in the first half of BB7 until Endemol grow desperate and throw extra ones in and invent twists to stop all the girls going.

Nothing changes in BBUK

No, she got 56.4 % of the final count, Barrymore got 43.6%.

Mrs Enright lives up to her name...ie she is right. Chantelle was the Heat reader's postergirl, she was one of them.
If she had been a contestant in a normal Big Brother, she would I think have fallen victim to the usual anti-female voting patterns.
But by being the starstruck punter in the celeb house, the voters (which, as someone pointed out, are rather different demographically from the viewers) could identify with her.
Bear in mind that although Chantelle won, the next female after her came sixth.

I think as soon as it was known that Preston had a girlfriend, yet had gone within 50yds of Chantelle, it was essentially "curtains" for him.

He will dump his Girlfriend soon anyway he's just waiting for attention to settle down.

i mean if he really Loved her would he have highlighted on National telly that she was looking at him with evil eyes i think Not so it's Goodbye to her very soon i think.

I think that what usually happens on BB is that the teen girls, grannies and housewives vote for the housemate they like, irrespective of gender. The teen boys, grandads and husbands, however, nearly always vote for a man over a woman. This is why women get voted out.
However, I suspect the female vote united behind Chantelle this time, for the reasons stated above, which is why she won.
I think the male vote was rather split, but I suspect Maggot got a lot of it. Preston was too much of a pretty dandy, MB and PB are gay, but Maggot is an unthreatening, bumbling, non-good-looking bloke-next-door.
