I think some of the comments in this thread have been a little unfair.

Personally, as a die hard fan of Big Brother who's never missed a single episode (including the spin-offs like BBLB etc.) - although perhaps I shouldn't admit that - I think it's interesting to read when someone who used to be a fan has decided to watch no more, and the reasons why they've stopped.

I reckon the producers would be pretty interested to, so they can perhaps find out what they can do to keep the show fresh, to entice people back.

What I want to know is - could they do anything to make you watch again? Some kind of twist? A certain kind of housemate? A slighty different format? Or is your love affair with Big Brother over forever?

True to the OP's claim that they didn't watch a single minute of the show, but saw fit to contribute to this forum anyway, I haven't bothered to read a single post on this thread but I'm going to throw in my halfpenny worth anway.

If you didn't watch the show, why are you interested in talking about it?

I kind of understand what Aerology's saying, I think.
I was completely addicted to BB1 and BB2 but got disillusioned during 3 and 4 as I found the selection of individuals in the house increasingly uninteresting, irritating and silly. By BB5 I had stopped watching.

However I continued to watch CBB as the personalities involved were rather more intriguing. This series was the best yet, IMO. Aerology, I think you missed out.

"If you didn't watch the show, why are you interested in talking about it?"

Because he/she's got an interesting opinion about Big Brother, which is a valid point of discussion on the forum?
Some comments were kinda unfair and a wee bit rude!

Good on ya Aerology for taking our comments so graciously.

Good for You.

I don't really understand what your point is but perhaps you'd like to tell everyone what other programmes you don't watch.

You get some very odd posts on here don't you?

But how can you possibly make the claim that "if you've seen one BB you've seen them all", how can you compare them if you haven't watched this one?

Or are you basing your opinion of this CBB purely on the info and discussion on the forum?

I have to say, a lot of the time reading the forum is more fun than actually watching, but you are at the mercy of other's opinions - some of which are valid and some of which are not. Better to watch and make up your own mind, surely.

But hey, each to his (or her) own!
Congratulations

Amongst all the lively threads of discussion and debate - I would, for a change, like to devote this thread to all those people who just couldn't give a monkeys about it anymore.

And I bet there are a lot of them as well.

Perhaps it's something to do with age - I'm 31 now. When Big Brother first appeared in 2000 I was 25 years old, and it had an appeal for me.

Not anymore.

It feels so good to be free, and that I do not have to be compelled to watch it anymore.

I've grown out of this show that I'm surprised ever made it on to a public-service channel.

Three cheers for NOT watching TV. Hip hip hooray !”

Well done you! This is the first CBB I have ever watched and it will be the last. I am glad I saw it because otherwise I just would not have believed that such a thing could happen.

well done aerology. my enthusiasm for the show has waned tremendously. one thing that irks is that there are no external auditors to monitor the show- or am i completely wrong in saying this? i used to watch shows involving monetary prizes in other countries and there were always external auditors to ensure that there was straight dealing.

im deflated over the scam - we get scammed by the government, the taxman, the monopolistic grocery giants, advertising, internet fraudsters, politicians and now....even some greedy tv company. sigh.
Congratulations

Yes and the entire hoax was aimed at the 10-19 age group, which is a bloody disgrace. Scamming money from kids with superficial tripe is terrible. They could at least have used a bimbo with her own hair. Those extensions can send ya bald, ya know.

hey, even if she was bald and covered in pustules, endemol would just pay extra for the airbrushing. heck they might just turn the old tradition on its head and ppl will start coveting their acne. i reckon idiot teenagers and the other imbeciles will flock in droves to get their heads plucked free of hair too.

its amazing to witness just how effective propaganda is. its even more amazing how dense the majority are. unbelievable.

I'm pleased for you that you no longer watch the show. However, telling this to fans of the show, is effectively like falling at the last hurdle. Hopefully next year you won't watch the show AND you won't tell fans of the show about how amazing you are because of it. Good luck!!

I don't see much point in visiting threads about BB simply to announce you didn't watch it.

I guess you erected a Christmas Tree too but didn't add a single bauble to it's branches?
