Chantelle's family

They must be very proud of her, but was I alone in cringeing as the family, particularly the TV hungry Mother
( why am I thinking of mutton?)
shouted 'Live the dream!!'

I can imagine the phrase gaining status in Essex wine bars tonight...as orange girls with black partings everywhere dream of meeting the aristocracy of the UK - particularly Kenzie from Blazin Squad

It was head in hands time for sure

It was an indication of today's society. Apparently winning a gutter TV show and being thick as mud is "the dream".

I bet her family give a lot to society...

Do you actually know what her family do? They have not done a bad job in bringing up a nice level headed girl. Not everybody can be academically talented, just because you don't go to university doesn't make you inherently less worthy than someone who does. She works, earns her money, isn't taking money from the state that she is not entitled to, isn't stealing or mugging or taking drugs. If she decided that her main assets were her looks rather than her brains where is the crime in using them to try and get a career? She had a dream, she went for it and now she is going to live it. She is bright enough to know it could all end very quickly but what is the problem in taking opportunities that are presented to you with both hands and going for it?

I agree with you colmpletely. Chantelle is nto an academic, however she does have common sense and is able to look after herself. By others definition anyone who is unable to come up to their academic stands might has well give up, however, Chantelle did not give up she stood up for herself in a house full of celebs.
Well done Chantelle, I hope your future is bright.

Spot on.....I admit that chantelle couldn't spell vindictive...even with 5 minutes to think about it....but she is also incapable (imho) of carrying out the meaning of the word. Thats much more important a personal attribute and much more admirable

Sorry, I don't agree and I think you are maybe being a little judgmental. I know very little about her family.

Our Chantelle may not be the brightest button academically, but she seems like a polite, well-mannered girl to me with a sunny disposition and a healthy chunk of common sense. From what we saw, she seemed to have no malice about her and she was genuinely surprised at winning and touchingly grateful for the prize that she deservedly got.

Good on you, Chantel. Your star may not burn forever so go out there and make the most of it, enjoy yourself and "live the dream" It's what you have always wanted. Well done darling.
