Looking at Linksys' website it says about a Vonage account?
Is it easy to configure for Sipgate?”
There are two versions available.
A Vonage locked one (Half the price).
An unlocked one, that you can use with any provider. (Price has crept up a little, due to short supply, as they have been more popular than LinkSys had envisaged).
The earlier Vonage locked ones were easily Un-Locked, this latest revision it seems not so.
I bought mine from
BroadBandBuyer.co.uk, you will possibly need a couple of
US Plug (RJ11) to BABT Socket (with Ring Capacitor) Adaptor s, it is possible that you can use RJ11 to RJ11 leads from your phone to the PAP2, but you may find some phones (usually those specifically designed UK only) will not ring as they don't have the ring capacitor in the, this is why on our standard phone system we have a BABT master socket (this includes the ring capacitor) these RJ11 to BABT adaptors have the same capacitor. You could get an RJ11 lead and wire the one end to a BABT master socket.

The manual you get with this device is sparse, as it is just a quick setup guide written as if you were going to use Vonage, so no there is no details on how to configure the device.
However the Sipura instruction manual
HERE will have everything you will need to know. The Sipgate site (ensure logged in) will display what settings you require for the PAP2 by clicking on the help centre and Sipura device.
You will need to alter some settings on the device, so as to emulate the correct UK ring patterns and dialling tones for example, these are entirely configurable, so you could have a French dialling tone and a American ring pattern if you so wished.
If you do decide to get a PAP2, PM me and I can send the the required setup details for a UK setup.
