Im having increasing difficulty dubbing from my recorders HDD drive to blank DVD discs (+R format).

Having collected several episodes of a tv series, i wanted to clear them off the hard drive to a dvd. After about two episodes, subsequent ones appear to be corrupted and won't play back properly. They either freeze totally, or freeze for a bit, freeze a bit more then stop.

I've wasted several dvds on this ... sometimes i get to a third or even fourth epidode before they mess up, other times its sooner.

This also happens with movies and after maybe an hour, the picture starts freezing on the dvd copy or the voice loses synchronisation with lip movements.

I think the problem is on the dubbing side since i can use the dvd in another machine and the problems still appear. The hard drive original seems fine and always plays ok.

Anyone got any idea whats causing this? Sony software maybe? since i cant believe its a batch of duff dvds.
