The 1st GN Show I've enjoyed! He had a good collection of guests though & C.Thatch was very kind to Chantelle, who was quite natural & seemed at ease.

Canderel seems to be enjoying the exposure.

Her natural calmness and confidence was quite appealiing though she was a bit less un easy when asked about meeting Camile, But her coaching on pluging OK magazine story seemed to pay off

The line about not ever getting her tits out again is her main message... she showed in BB that she's capable of being fed a line to spin and spinning it... putty in Max Clifford's hands I'm sure... shrewd woman.

Considering that this was her first chat show as such and all the other guests were very experienced television performers, I think she came over really well and not fazed by the situation at all. She really does come over as very relaxed and a real natural.

Tastier Than Kandifloss!

It looks like Celebrity Big Brother starlet Chantelle Houghton’s new found celeb status will be short lived. There’s set to be trouble brewing now she has left the

After the initial auditions on BBLB - the girls who didn’t make it into Kandifloss hooked up to form rival band Candy aiming to storm the charts and prove to Chantelle and chums that Candy will always taste sweeter!

With the sugar coated four piece Candy working hard in the studio laying down vocals for their new track ‘Dance With Me’ Their ready and waiting now the celebrity house has thrown open it’s doors.

You've obviously joined DS just to tell us this - they are not releasing the same song - good luck to them but I doubt it will effect Chantelle's stab a celebraty status.

I hate the GN show period...I did peek last night only to get annoyed with his terrible reading of autocues...... Ben Fogle's sea adventure was the only thing of interest..the rest was small talk piffle..how could Preston watch when they were at Wrap Party when it was shown.I think everyone is way over reacting to the will they/wont they rubbish of him and Chantelle...it is good money spinner for both of them to play the damn mystery out endlessly... once they do, or do not, the money runs out on that.........I also think the 2 of them are overeacting to the so called feelings born in an unnnatuarl environment... rather like a holiday romance......
I also think it is boring.. she is 22 he just tunred 24... it is hardly likely to last long even if they did... anyway in Star she says she fancies Anthony Hutton.!!!!! Basically she will have so many males to chose for she will not last with Preston anyway and why is it sooo important to everyone what happens. It is all media attention grabbing rubbish imo.

Chantelle was really good on the show! I thought she handled it all very well for a person who has never been part of a studio programme like that - especially such a politically centered and fast paced witty show she did great!

Good Paris Hilton impression too!

What a load of bunkum, can't even spell 'they're'.

Chantelle has the makings of a big star, and BB obviously recognised this when they picked her to go into the house with a bunch of celebs. I wish her well.

As for Preston, if she has any sense, she will never be more than friends with him - he has proved just what a rubbish boyfriend he can be!
I would rather marry Maggot than go out with Preston for 1 day personally....

She came across great last night, I for one wish her all the best. Ruby Wax didn t look to happy because Chantelle was getting more laughts then her.

I thought she did well for the show-a little nervous but didn't make the mistake of saying too much with major star chatterboxes like Ruby Carol and Graeme there. She spoke when spoken too and was "respectfull"She didn't think she was the star.It must have been difficult just having to laugh and clap so often.
Then the camera panned out at the end and we saw it was a HUGE theatre type audience" I thought it would be 30 people in a small studio with canned noise but it was huge and very intimidating.
So I think she did VERY well.

I agree Josie. She did very well because let's face it, with someone like Ruby Wax there, she may well have thought it was Pete Burn's sister. LOL I love Ruby but she can be every bit the acid wit. I was dreading her having a go at Chantelle, but like someine else mentioned, they all seemed to like her. And ditto to what you've said about.

I watched the show, although not normally a Graham Norton fan. I thought at first that the other guests looked a bit intimidating, from Chantelle's point of view - what on earth would Ruby Wax do to her? But I think her appearance can be counted a very definite success, and is a good indication of the way she is going to handle her career in future. Having just read the thread about Jodie blasting OK! I hope the friendship of these two Essex girls will be shortlived.

It looks as if advisors have already got to work on Chantelle and she came over very well - and very restrained re hair fiddling and OMIGOD-ing. When asked to contribute she was charming and funny. When she didn't have a clue what they were on about (I imagine she doesn't know who the LibDems are, let alone that the party is in freefall), she just kept her mouth shut and smiled and applauded as appropriate.

This girl will go far!!

yes Chantelle did really well.
I hope she does get the chance to go on Richard and Judy as they really warmed to her when she was in the house and i think she could do a really good interview with them.

Hopefully she'l be on richard and Judy later this week because i think she said OK's out tomorrow so that should clear the road for her to do more appearences & i'm sure Richard and Judy would still like to have her on.

Imo I thought it was a little bit cruel to put her on the GN show, she was well beyond her depth but handled it really well. All she had to do was sit there, look pretty, act polite and smile.

R & J show is much more suitable for her

I am normally a fan of Ruby Wax but found her behaviour rather unkind to Chantelle, who I thought did extremely well under the circumstances.

Ruby made a few rather sharp comments and even GN said Ruby was disappointed that Chantelle was doing ok.

I thought Carol Thatcher was just fab (loved her so much on IACGMOOH) and her comment to Chantelle about 'ordinary people' winning is always to be congratulated was spot on.

Chantelle might be famous for a very short time but she is being wisely advised to make as much money while the offers are there.

Go for it Chantelle.

Never mind Chantelle, i would of tuned in just to watch C Thatch.

I think Chantelle has natural charm and charisma. She's funny in an honest and endearing way and her humour is not based on putting other people down or being a smart-ar*e......like so many people one could mention! No wonder Ruby was put out. So glad the nation and BB honoured a decent, unmalicious person and not a bitter, twisted one. There are those that are delighting in calling Ch. stupid and mocking her, but she just hasn't had the benefit of a great education and she is uninformed generally at the moment. All that can change. I bet she will become more clued up about current affairs and the like, and she can always improve her education too. But the important point is that she is not innately dumb. and she has potential to better herself in any way she choses; she seems like a quick learner. Good luck to her.
