"Chantelle Gets Carried Away" : Evening Standard
Endemoniada
31-01-2006
"By the time she left the party - at the Astor Bar in the West End - Ms Houghton was so refreshed that she needed the services of two security staff to help her stay upright."

Didn't take long for the first negative media article to appear....

Thanks for that. I can see a lot of negative press following her around, especially if she doesn't give them an exclusive.

Ah well, it all comes with the fame. She's just going to have to grin and bear it like other celebs do.

she doesnt look that drunk the picture and anyway she deserves a night out to just relax and have fun after winning.
Oh well hopefully after she has finished her exclusive deal with OK magazine she'll be able to go out and do more tv appearances so she can showeveryone shes still a down to earth, grounded person.

Isn't the 'Evening Standard' part of the same group as The Daily Mail? Bitter rivals with The Express?...........

Shock horror. she got a little bit drunk and they write a very negative story about her.... she never abused anyone, she never hit anyone or became obnoxious.... so what's the big deal? A story out of nothing.

Evening Standard

By the time she left the party - at the Astor Bar in the West End - Ms Houghton was so refreshed that she needed the services of two security staff to help her stay upright.

Quite elegantly put though.

Everyone is reading way too much into Preston./Chantelle thing..a short holiday romance...... and media game for coverage.

It is not a particularity negative piece anyway.Everyone here so over reacts.Anyone would think she is their kid sister, instead of a total stranger, who will have a short career in limelight, and disappear if things go the way they usually do with BB nobodies.

I would rather read something in ES than the ruddy Sun or Mirror or Star which are absolute trash.

Tut tut -she does not even exist in my daily- The Indie.. never been mentioned.

So, this is the "dream" that her mother urged her so much to "live". Well, I'm not a celebrity, and I can get so drunk that I need two people to carry me out. Though I suppose I don't get snapped as I leave, for the entertainment of a million drones. I'm beginning to wonder what the appeal of fame is.
