Big Brother....the Silences

I, like others, are annoyed when housemates start to say something interesting, and we get birds singing.
Channel 4 say it's because they maybe saying something slanderous.
Couldn't they overcome this by stating in the contracts of the housemates, something like:" Whatever you say about people/persons, well known or otherwise, will be broadcast."
And at the start of the program, issue a disclaimer, something like: "The points of view stated in the program, are not shared by Channel 4 and any company associated with this program. Any apparent slanderous comments should be taken up with the person/persons who stated them."

I've noticed that often the sound dips are used to cover conversations that they want to show on the catch up shows.

The entire Michael/George/Dennis/Preston/chantelle argument was virtually all sound dipped on streaming but shown in full on the catch up show........ darn Channel 4 beep button dude... anyone know where I can employ a hit man

The annoying thing is, that when they finally show the clip they dipped, it's been so chopped and edited that you don't get the full story anyway. The night of the big row with Pete , Michael and Jodie, they went into the bedroom and filmed Dennis snoring for about 5 minutes, right in the middle of it. It was when Jodie said that her dad was ill on the way in. But in the final edit, they missed out Pete's rant about her slagging off Jordan, which was the best part of the whole argument.(IMO)

I noticed that this time aswell. It got to the stage that I knew that most of what I heard live on E4 wouldn't be shown. Anything with dips would be.

There was a long and interesting discussion between Traci and Maggot about Preston/Chantelle/Camille and I knew it wouldn't be shown in the catch up show.

In saying that, most of Traci and Maggot's late night stuff wasn't shown.

I think I was watching that, when they were sitting in front of the bedroom window. I remember thinking: "Shh! You're speaking too loud! Someone might hear!" lol.

Did they ever show any of the: "Hi! I'm Traci, and this Maggot. Stay tuned for more Celebrity Big Brother 2006."

Traci started posing in front of the cameras, then she dragged Maggot in, and he was waving, then the were both hugging on the couch. It was never-ending.....

Oh, how I miss those days!

they showed 1 of T&M's 'links' but it wasn't one of the better ones!

I've also noticed that the dips cover what they want for the highlight shows,, they've always done that.

Yes, that's the one - in front of the bedroom window lol.

Traci did a never ending posing display that night and Maggot genuinely appeared to be loving it. Especially when he was nestled in the bust and getting kissed on the head.

They never showed any of that.

This would mean that people would be very guarded while in the house. Those that weren't would get sued for a hell of a lot of money.

There are many reasons other than slander that the sound is cut for. Not that Endemol/C4 will ever be honest about the reasons.

I would never complain when endemol cut sound for legit reasons but when people are paying for a live feed surely cuts in sound to save for the highlights show is wrong and disturbing.

Having had most BBs on the live internet feed i have noticed that although there were times in bb5 this happened it was mostly done during BB6.

The new disturbing thing in cbb4 was not just cutting sound but even when several groups of celebs were having different conversations they would switch to whoever was in bed snoring.
If a conversation is gonna be dipped/cut why not concentrate the live feed on the other conversations rather than a celeb snoring.

Whatever the reason, a hell of a lot of people have stopped bothering with live streaming because of the ridiculous sound dipping/cutting away to the garden every time anything remotely interesting happens. I would never waste money on a pass again, because you literally get to see nothing whatsoever worth seeing.
