Jade - Inspirational Conference in Belfast

She missed her flight to Belfast because she ran out of petrol on the way to the airport and had to hitch a ride to the nearest petrol station.

It could only happen to Jade Goody, the Big Brother finalist of three years ago who has since gone on to make an estimated £3.5m through personal appearances and publicity stunts.

Since her eviction from the famous house, where she will be forever remembered for her jelly belly and ridiculous gaffs, Jade (24) has appeared in numerous other reality shows including Celebrity Wife Swap, Celebrity Driving School and Jade's Salon.

And, of course, she is splashed across the pages of every glossy and gossip magazine on the market and still has a posse of paparazzi camped outside her house waiting - as she says - to see her taking out the rubbish or washing the windows.

So, just what is it that has elasticated Jade's '15 minutes of fame' and kept her, unlike so many others before and since, in such constant demand?

Hey!...thanks for the link! that took me back a bit...never thought to look to see whether the tele had it's own website!...just been on it for half an hour reading up on old stuff...including some stuff about my son's cousin, who plays for Portadown and aparently got married a couple of years ago and has a four year old...see what you learn from DS-bigbrother !

There have been hairdressing salons with the name Curl up and dye!

People will first go to Jade's salon because they're curious. After that, she will only get repeat trade if she can deliver the goods and I assume she can since the cameras have gone and she's still trading.

No one could have predicted Jade's fame. However Endermol have sadly told a generation of young girls that fame and money can be theirs with peroxide extensions, getting your baps out for the lads and revelling in your appalling lack of basic education to the extent of boasting of not knowing what a gynaecologist is.
