I take everything I read on the web with a pinch of salt.
Easter does seem a logical date, but of course this year it's much later than last year. There doesn't seem any physical restriction that would stop broadcast beginning at the end of March like it did last year.
The three new tenth Doctor tie-in novels are published on Thursday 13th April. Don't know if that means anything though (probably doesn't), but it may suggest the Easter date is correct.
I'm not saying Easter isn't the provisional date, but I hope it isn't. Starting that late will push it too deep into summer. If it started a couple of weeks earlier then that would put the Sarah Jane Smith episode on at Easter wouldn't it? Maybe a better option?”
I think most sites get up my nose too.
I think what is tragic is that the BBC DR WHO site is not taken in-house (by BBC WALES) as most fan sites get info and news online quicker by DAYS than the existing official site.
OG gets stuff wrong and it sets itself up as the ultimate site...but most fans forgive it. If HORUS gets stuff wrong, forums are awash with abuse and bile. Perhaps, there's something going on between the 2 sites?
OG takes its self too seriously (and no dares to criticise it...) so having "real" fan sites is appreciated.
Fandom is a broad church and we should embrace all views, news and information, coz its fun.
We all love DW.
I am now confused by the TX date! Surely, BBC WALES have recording schedules, Post-prod to complete and it would seem WEIRD if they have not been given an "end date" for production. BBC WALES know the TX date. - we'll have to wait and see.
Another site I like is UNIT NEWS - another fan made site.
