I heard that BT were replacing the woman's voice with Tom Baker's voice, so today I sent a text from my mobile to my BT phone... and it was still the same woman!



What a waste of money!

Anyone had any luck getting Tom Baker's voice? Anyone any idea why it didn't work for me?

It works for me. You get a woman's voice initially who tells you to press 1 to access your message, which is then read by Tom Baker.

I think this service has probably been used a record number of times over the past few days, just with people trying to get Tom Baker to say rude things. Or is that just me?

I hope they dont archive their texts!

I wish that the voice would stay there indefinatley!

You will here Tom Baker if you are texting from networks other than T-Mobile and their virtuals (Virgin, easyMobile, Fresh etc).

Other networks just use the BT system, T-Mobile use their own.

Bollocks! I use Fresh. That's why it doesn't work!

How annoying that BT made no mention of this when they announced Tom Baker's voice

Just got sent one by a mate and I was nearly in tears with laughter! Guess what I'll be doing the rest of the afternoon!!! (isn't working from home great )

It's not BT's fault that T-Mobile choose to use their own system to deliver the message rather than pass the message through to BT's system!
