SipDiscount Incoming Number
My SipDiscount incoming number is ( without giving away the full number ) +44560156xxxx. What the heckedy heck is this coz I don't seem able to dial it. I assume from a normal UK phone I should be able to dial 0560156xxxx but when I get to the second 6 I get an unavailable tone. Any ideas ?
Regards, Mike |

After a bit of digging I think I can answer my own question now. 056 numbers are reserved for cyberspace.... and NTL... in their infinite stupidity.... have decided not to enable 056 on "some" of their exchanges. Seems a bit short sighted to me.

Yes that is the case.
I am lucky as being in Birmingham, with SipDiscount I was able to get an 0121 incoming number, people in the major cities are able to get a local incoming number. |

Yeah, Sipgate are still free, and you can choose the area code you would like, you don't have to live in that area. I have a couple of Birmingham numbers, a London number, Liverpool number and a few others.
You can attach a USA Washington State number to your Sipgate number to via: http://phone.ipkall.com/ipphone |
