I suggest others do the same.”

Good idea, will do.

To my surprise John Barrowman will be appearing on Friday's DOI extra. They say he'll be answering viewers' questions which can be submitted via phone, text (didn't record the numbers) or email to extra@itv.com

I reckon the media made it up about John giving DOI the cold shoulder or else he wouldn't be on Extra! I think he just needed time to get over the shock exit

John is a bast*rd!!!
He is Scottish but talks with an American accent!
Is he ashamed or something?

I've been having trouble curing myself of the habit of reading and partly trusting what I read in the tabloids

It was a nice surprise though. I hope John and Olga do manage to arrange to skate together again, with enought live performances to give people a reasonable chance of seeing them.

Being slow off the mark and not being any sort of celebrity I missed out on tickets to DOI.

His people moved to Illinois when he was 6.. so he had practically all his education over there. Not surprising he talks with an American accent

I fail to follow your reasoning here...if he were ashamed of his background it seems highly unlikely he'd use his native accent publically, since he clearly doesn't need to, or indeed make a point of explaining the reason for it.
