I've been thinking that to. I mean I know that the winners of the x factor and pop idol don't usually have a long fame-lifespan but I didn't think he'd drop of the edge of the world quite so soon.

Um it actually does take a little bit of time to record an album I think it's a good sign that he's away recording, It's hardly been ages either That's My Goal is still top 10. Give the guy a chance.

I think most bands and artists release new singles every 3-4 months these days, so I wouldn't worry too much.

They all signed for an amount per night why should Shayne and LW now think he should get more.. greedy or what.. what has Shayne been doing has he done any gigs since like JS, Brenda, Maria, Chico etc.. not that I have seen.. think this could prove another 20 min wonder

I think it's absolutely disgusting what Louis Walsh is doing, it would be unbelievably unfair on those who have paid for tickets, many who will want to see Shayne. Shayne signed the contract, end of!

A little bit hypocritical considering your views on any news articles about Journey South in the newspapers?

I have never said anything about newspaper articles concerning Journey South and what they are paid... I have commented on an article in a magazine to my knowledge only. In fact I dont think other than the one article in question which happens for me to be a personal issue which has nothing to do with anyone else, I have not read any bad things about JS.

I have also not lowered myself to talk about the dire stories printed about Shaynes family either, as again they have nothing to do with his singing career, which may be put on hold if any of you read the front page to this site.

So sorry you will have to explain that, for me they all signed before they were winners, they were all happy with the offer, why buck at it now.

But we are only being fed a newspaper story that likely isnt true and today a story has appeared featuring quotes from Louis Walsh suggesting that Shayne has vocal problems and may need an operation. My issue was the fact you have chosen to believe a story that probably isnt even true, ( and an entirely different story in the media today seems to support that fact), when you were more or less stating the same thing repeatedly about the Carl article in the media.

After reading this yesterday I was thinking, yes, we'll be in for a deluge of promotion soon.

Lo and behold, he's having an operation, to 'save his voice'.

But surely, whatever the outcome of the money or voice problems, they are rehearsing for the X-Factor tour which starts on 16 February!

the difference GG about the stories about Shayne's family is that they were about his family, nothing nasty was said about Shayne himself. Whereas the articles about JS were about one half of them and his tricks and antics.

Just looking to see if JS's album is mentioned in the releases here yet and it's not although it's release date is 20th March. Did see Shaynes is due for release 13th March though. Although it says to be confirmed.

An album date release chart

That march date is a lightyear away! He wont last very long i dont think, and if he does he will not be as popular as we would have originally thought
