Which UK mobile networks lock and brand their phones?

Can anoyone tell me an answer to the question above. Apart from orange who heavy brand their phones who else does it?

OK, I could be wrong on this but as I understand it

3 do, Vodafone do, loads of live stuff everwhere, T-Mobile do an increasing amount & of course Orange do.

O2 do some branding, but not as much the other networks. They don't lock contact phones either as far as I know

Virgin don't brand all of their phones (at least my k750 wasn't) but do lock them (although they will unlock them for free).

None of my Vodafone phones have been locked.

I know your question has already been answered BigDog, but while 3 certainly lock their phones, in my experience the handsets aren't branded.

There may be a shortcut soft key to 'Today on 3' but I've been always been able to change that (via the Menu) to something else. There certainly not changed to the extent that Orange & Voda like to do.

Sometimes if you buy a Pay as You go phone from The Carphonewarehouse, they give you "Vanilla" stock which means it has no branding, no network settings or lock at all...they just sellotape a Pay and Go SIM card onto the top of the box!

Typically they only do these with popular handsets that are available on all networks (such as Nokia 6230i, Motorola V3, Motorola SLVR, Samsung E530 etc) although don't with network exclusives (such as Vodafone's SHARP range)

my Samsung E350 on O2 was bought from Phones4U back in December and so far i've tried Virgin & Vodafone sims in it and they work so it's unlocked But i dont understand that as i thought it would be locked...

AFAIK, O2 don't lock any of there phones now.

Singlepoint was good for that, a plain unbranded phone, just pop sim in. The only thing it was good for.
