OK, I could be wrong on this but as I understand it

3 do, Vodafone do, loads of live stuff everwhere, T-Mobile do an increasing amount & of course Orange do.

O2 do some branding, but not as much the other networks. They don't lock contact phones either as far as I know

Virgin don't brand all of their phones (at least my k750 wasn't) but do lock them (although they will unlock them for free).

I know your question has already been answered BigDog, but while 3 certainly lock their phones, in my experience the handsets aren't branded.

There may be a shortcut soft key to 'Today on 3' but I've been always been able to change that (via the Menu) to something else. There certainly not changed to the extent that Orange & Voda like to do.

Sometimes if you buy a Pay as You go phone from The Carphonewarehouse, they give you "Vanilla" stock which means it has no branding, no network settings or lock at all...they just sellotape a Pay and Go SIM card onto the top of the box!

Typically they only do these with popular handsets that are available on all networks (such as Nokia 6230i, Motorola V3, Motorola SLVR, Samsung E530 etc) although don't with network exclusives (such as Vodafone's SHARP range)

Hope this helps

Singlepoint was good for that, a plain unbranded phone, just pop sim in. The only thing it was good for.
