When does filming for Torchwood start? (JB related)
Now there is an official Dancing On Ice Forum, I thought I could throw a spanner in the works and suggest the REAL reason John had to go.
He is by far the better skater than Stefan, in fact than all of the stars. Bonnie is a great dancer, and she has included many lifts, but she is not that great a skater if you actually watch her feet. There are 4 weeks to go of DoI (I think). It just seemed the obvious reason for John going out. He starts filming Torchwood (Dr Who spinoff) very soon and maybe they've brought filming forward. If they have brought it forward they need John earlier. Dr Who was filmed in Bristol area I think. So I assume Torchwood will be too. Anyone in Bristol got any info? In previous series I've always been sceptical of "people thought he/she was safe so didn't vote" theories. A much more probable theory is ITV wanted some controversy to get more votes (Maria, Richard and now John). In X-Factor and DoI the judges had the final say, so put out the one who would cause more backlash. In SS the public voted in droves to save Richard. One thing is for sure, ITV will generate higher voting profits next week. Heads they win. tails we lose. ITV win the money! |

I was thinking exactly the same thing. There was a story around a few weeks ago stating that Torchwood was being delayed and I presumed that this was because of Johns involvement in Dancing On Ice. Nothing like a good conspiracy theory though.

According to John's official site (the Torchwood thread in the forums), John's agent has confirmed that...
- filming starts in April - the show will now air in Autumn not Summer - but it's been 'promoted' to BBC1
