Who do you think is the most talented skater?
I think John was probably the most technically sound with Gaynor and Sean next, Bonnie looks fabulous, but she spends more time in the air then on her skates and because of her petite frame covers up her mistakes quite well.
Kelly is awful, but Andi (bless him ) was worse

John was the best. Bonnie is good when she is being swung around in the air, but not as good as John on the Ice. Although she had improved. Steffan has also improved.
Kelly is the worst by a long shot. |

Matt is a great skater and so makes Bonnie look better than she really is, she spends too much time in the air and not enough on the ice. I also think Gaynor has improved a lot. Stefan and Sean are the weak links for me. John was the star and now he has gone I can't see anyone beating Bonnie and Matt.

i agree with wot ppl are saying bout bonnie. Ive been skating for 13 years and i have to say bonnie cant skate she never lets go of her partner and doesnt skate but gets pushed around the ice yet gets the most praise. Whenever the other skaters do techincally difficult things they are slated by the panel, for not being gud enough. Why? To me its a fix. The couples are unfairlly matched. You cant expect to a non skating male to do the same lifts as a skating male.

er I would have said John, but for some unknown reason the judges have dumped him. FFS just when are they going to realise that Stefan is NOT popular. OK he isn't the worse dancer but please until they let him go the likes of Kelly and David are going to get away with it for gawd knows how many weeks.

John.
![]() I don't really know actually. I'm not informed enough to be able to tell. Bonnie & Matt are amazing though. And Gaynor really suprised me on saturday. Out of the guys who are left? I'd probably say Sean, but he's my favourite now so I'm a little bit biased. |

I've made these comments in bits on other threads and it might sound like stating the obvious - but with help to try to judge this...
in the past I have heard people (including Nicky Slater - no comment!) say, look at the skaters' feet and pay attention to things like; Smoothness of contact of blade with the ice Sure-footedness when changing feet, direction, speed, entering and leaving steps, etc. Ability to do steps of varying lengths competently, which indicates good use of inside and outside edges of blades and toe pick All rather technical I know but if you are looking purely at skating ability you need to look at these things and not be distracted too much by other aspects of the performance. I thought that John was the most talented skater. He is just a natural born entertainer. He just looked like he belonged in the ice-staking world.

It's obviously Bonnie - hence the highest score of the series, by far, on Saturday - and the blatant anti-Bonnie bias on here is not only sad but extremely strange.

IMO John was the best skater.
John and Bonnie were the the skaters I looked forward to watching, although on Saturday I thought Gaynor skated a beautiful routine and Stephen impressed me too. I think it is fair comment to say that people thought John was safe and didn't vote. I didn't vote on Saturday as I had the programme on Sky + as I was getting ready to go out. When I caught the skate-off programme before I headed out, I was really surprised at the bottom two from what I already thought of the skaters, but thought that it was a cert that the judges would keep John in. Having watched both programmes back, for me, David and Kelly should have been the bottom two, with Kelly going. I did actually prefer Stephan's routine on the night, but thought John was a better skater. It was a shame the decision had to be made between the two of them and I personally think if it was down to their skating alone, it wouldn't have been. I think Stephan suffers from his lower 'profile' than some of the other more familiar names unfortunately. I think the reaction to John's departure shows that he was popular, and I am sad to say that, as I didn't vote despite him being my fav, that I am partially responsible for his going out - so by having a social life, I've helped ruin my own enjoyment of the show - gutted! John seems to have been frequently misquoted this week. He has been understandably upset, as his obvious enthusiasm for skating and the show was evident (one of the reasons I liked him). Any interview I have seen with him in person, as opposed to the spin of a journalists interpretation, he has come across as upset but ultimately philiosophical about what happened on Saturday. He has not slated the other skaters and when asked who he wanted to win, he said Bonnie. BTW - to a previous poster who called John an 'old man' - since when has 38 been old?? I suppose it's all relative - but really?? Bonnie is the oldest competitor isn't she? 41, I think - I don't think she's 'old' either |

He was far too sure of himself and his comments about Bonnie have revealed him to be a jealous and spiteful old man.

@seamus
'Old' as in 'a bitter old queen'. Not old as in 'old-age pensioner'. |

I think John was the most talented out of the celebrities... He seemed confident on skates and other than his one fall (which to be fair was a balance problem rather than skating), he was almost perfect!
Bonnie is also good and I think Stefan is almost faultless with his footwork... I actually can't understand why he keeps getting such low marks from the judges. |

You obviously feel it was right for John to leave whilst quite a few of us feel it was not his time to go |

I agree Seamus! Geez!! Tabloids lie, they have taken what John said out of context and I was astonished when flicking throught the Sun at the article that has been printed!! John is upset, but he has never slated the other celebs and what has always been said is that they are all friends. When he was on GMTV he said he enjoyed healthy competitions without the b*tching and backstabbing so I doubt he will have said any of those things!! They all seem to really love him and he became really close to Stephen and Bonnie!! Read between the lines- reality and fiction!
