Shayne may have to delay his album as he has been found to have nodules on his throat and may have to undergo surgery which could cause him to be out of the limelight for up to 3 months. THis story is on the front page of this site and others as well, and Louis Walsh is reported to have told the People Newspaper that this is serious.

He will be seeing a specialist he is presently in Sweden, recording his album.

I wish Shayne all the very best as this is every singers nightmare.

When I posted this I had no idea people were posting in a topic that had nothing to do with it. so sorry if it duplicates what is being said but this was important enough to have a topic of its own, as the other is about Louis pulling Shayne from the tour if they do not pay him more money, this is a little more serious than money as this is his whole career, his voice.

I agree GG, it is more important than Louis' strop about more money for Shayne. It could also affect whether he will be appearing on the tour as well.

REading round the net Blue had to pull their final tour as Lee was suffering from the same thing, and there are countless stars that have had to have 6 months off and then change the way they sing.. ie high pitched it a no go area. So this does not look good. On the tour he could mime, if not in hospital or recovering from surgery, but recording his album may have to be put on hold. Such a shame and this must be a very worrying time for him til he sees this specialist, we can only hope the news is not as bad as thought, and that he may just have to rest his vocal chords.

perhaps this explains why Shayne has been miming since he won - what is going on though? If he has had the problem for a while why was Louis saying only the other day that Shayne deserved more money than the rest of the finalists to do the tour..? I mean why say that if he knew that Shayne might not be able to do the tour at all..? surely he doesn't think Shayne could get more money if he is going to mime!?

Trouble is with reading about it in the redtops is that you have no idea whats true, whats stuff that is being leaked to the media on purpose and what is just pure fiction made up by some journo..

That is the hard part Spiv what is true what is hype and god forbid a publicity stunt from Louis as he has pulled some bad ones in his time.

joss stone had this kind of trouble as well

it happens to singers a lot when they are not trained to use their voices in a proper way and not warming up

If it's true about Shayne having nodules in his throat, then I'd prefer the X Factor tour to be put back, rather than Shayne having to mime his songs.

Call me cynical but there are about 12 "he/she may never sing again" stories around during a year, usually at a time when that person isnt in the centre of the spotlight for a little time.

According to admin on Shayne's website, the story is completely untrue.
Apparently, he has had a check up and everything is fine.

That's the trick though isn't it? Release a bit of a false story to the press, get lots of attention, then deny all knowledge of it being true.

Hey presto, you get the publicity without the story.

Do they, as that is now about to be removed from all my sites, so they got less than 12 hours of glory for a crapp story has DS removed it from the front pages if it is lies then? as they normally do.

What a shower of shite wonder what someone hopes to gain by this as that has really made me a bit sick in the pitt of my stomach..

Another stunt eh Louis, like the sore throat on the show then, as that is now what people like me will think, it is all one prank to get sympathy and publicity in anyway for his forthcoming album which I take it will now not be put back to June, and he will not be miming at the tour! or will he!

Well looks like another stunt by Louis Walsh, is this guy due another single out soon. After issuing probably one of the worst songs in 2005 which only got to number 1 after all the hype and rigging of the charts at Christmas by ITV, perhaps he has been found out and they want to get the sympathy again of the people who buy singles for his next release.

Well looks like the album will now be put back one month as on HMV it is not due out on 13 March but the 10 April, so I guess he did not get it done.. wonder why that was, maybe the jet setting holiday should have waited til after it was done eh?

Blue rescheduled so, I suppose X-Factor could do that. All Shayne really needs to do is rest is voice for a week or so unless it's more serious than I assume?
