Totally agree with all the previous posts. I'm watching DoI religiously but I couldn't really give a hoot who wins it! All I want is to see Jayne and Chris and to see what they are going to skate each week.
Did I read it right that they are going to skate a version of Bolero on the final week or will it just be the 'celebs'?
The only dvd on release is a US one and it's the collaboration they did with Yo Yo Ma a few years back. It's interesting to see on ebay that all the videos are going for upwards of £20 when, last year, they woudn't have got 99p. Still, it's all good if it gets T and D back into the public eye. Knowing the mercenary nature of most tv companies I'd be surprised if a T and D best of dvd wasn't in the pipeline.
Lastly, I always thought that, if there was any romance, it would have been in the very early days, when they were first travelling to Germany etc on their own ('75-'78-ish). They have commented many times on how they were out on their own and thrown together at this time. There's some comment in John Hennessey's book about them clinging to each other (metaphorically!) because they didn't know anyone else. I think by the time they began to be well known it would have cooled off.
Phew! Anyway, that's my tuppence worth. I'm going through all my recordings at the moment and lots of good memories are coming back!

My nearest is Streatham, which is about to be demolished by Tesco
