I agree its a big pile of shite. It needs to cut back on the episodes as clearly thats the reason why its now so shite.

I disagree, it's on top form at the moment in my opinion.
If you're one of those viewers who gets obsessed with a certain group of characters i.e. Chrissie, Phil, Grant and Sharon etc then that's where your problem with the show lies. For me EastEnders has never revolved around anybody specifically and if it does then it certainly isn't the Mitchells because there wasn't a Mitchell in sight for the first 5 years of the shows life and it didn't suffer because of it. |

Loving all the spotlight on Pauline, and Dot is getting a fair bit - even enjoying the Stacey & bradley stuff! It's nice to have a break from the voilence for a while! |

It really is very good at the moment, OK we all enjoy a nice bit of action but sometimes the show needs to move at a slower pace.
I think it's great to have a break from all the violence and action for a while and it's really showing me that EastEnders can also do nice character driven episodes like Coronation Street when they want to. |

EE is brillioant at the moment - why should it always be dom and glown. This weeks and last weeks eps have been light-hearted and brilliant. Thank God Pauline has been given something to do and a new love interest instead of going on about Arthur.
The new additions (apart from Dawn) have been brilliant and is a far cry away from the dullness that was the Ferriera's kidney/ brother storyline which was the lowest which EE reached. |

Grant Mitchell is one of my favourite characters ever (I don't like Phil) but I do get fed up with Grant running around all the time 'flooring' people. I mean, hes 40 odd, he can't be able to take on that many people, especially ones like Dennis, who are younger than him.

EE is great, as everyone has said. I for one am glad its not trying to constantly grab ratings using sensational stories, but quieter nice ones the fans can sit back and enjoy. If we had it to often the action would get boring and noone would look forward to it.

I think it was improving but now its a bit hit and miss
for instance - Love the bradley/stacey storyline, finally a great new addition to the show Hate - this pat and pat storyline its just come from no where and when did yolande become such an overactor i think she has been getting tips from juley. |

Face it, Desperate Housewives is smarter, gripping, more glamorous. Shameless is rawer, more real, funnier. There's one way to Save Our Soaps: Cut them back.
That definitely applies to Corrie and Emmerdale.

It's ok in the sense the storylines are not too far fetched (well pat excluded
) still dull as dishwater though.
