clearly a MUX problem at your end - I find it terrific

It would be cool to be able to get the website at Radio Times to run the recordings on our PVR's. I currently use this in combination with the magazine to keep track of my viewing interests.

If I remember correctly though, they offer a subscription service for PDAs that you can then use to programme your video (it was launched before PVRs became popular) but I've not heard much about it recently.

I came across the E mail adresses of ITV duty officer and Channel 4 office so I let them know that I was not getting the MUX2 EPG. I got two replies, would you believe, and next day the EPG was fixed as there had been a problem with the tranmitter so now I am a happy parrot again. See, it does pay to complain

That's very encouraging news, except... did their replies suggest that you were the only person to bring this to their attention? Could you find out from them if there is an official channel to point out when the EPG is missing?

The first reply I got was from ITV and they told me that as far as they were aware the EPG data was ok but that they would investigate it next day , The second reply came from channel 4 who thanked me for contacting them and told me that there was a problem on my Transmitter and that it had now been put right and my EPG should be up and running again. I got the distinct expression that I was the only complainant.

Actually quite a few people started complaining to ITV around the 6 Apr. Many got a bog standard reply. It was only when someone pointed out to them that the problem was definitely only on Mux 2, as PVR's that populated from any Mux were OK that they investigated further, and then found the problem.....according to posts on toppy.org

I note that the ITV2 data is still ropey, and they are now investigating this.

According to the DTG schedule, there's a new Panasonic download coming on 3 May.

Anyone got any idea if it's for our favourite PVR?????

Hope so because as others have experienced, mine has become very unreliable since the last update, was OK before it.

Lockups.
Numerous missed recordings.
EPG not filling, when my other PVR has no problem.

it could very well be the promised sort out for the 'lock ups' problem caused by the MHEG services lewisnt, although I am not certain. I was told it would be around May/June. However, it could be for the Panny set top box whose OTA update we 'pinched'. Will try to find out if possible if it is for our beloved PVR. Will keep you all posted.

I would agree....yet on that version it was very stable, the only small problem I found was that rewinding live TV was a bit hit and miss.

Hmmm.....a novel use of the word "new" by DTG.......or Panasonic, or whoever's fault the previous entry was!!

Perhaps I'm just in a pessimistic mood today, but I can't help feeling that Panasonic wouldn't be so enthusiastically repeating v0.57 at every opportunity if there was another new release about to appear.

I'm glad that theyre doing a repeat as my TUTCH100 came with 0.47 and I missed the previous run by a few days, so was well peeved! Yippeee....

This thread has been a bit quiet lately, but I do have something relevant to say

I've noticed that since I (finally) got the 0.57 update, one intermittent bug has completely disappeared: I no longer get recordings which are cut (very) short. This mainly and regularly used to happen when I was recording programs on ITV1 - often when I played back a recording it would be 8 minutes long and that would be it. This has not happened at all since 0.57.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I am still here Villarica, but I think that we are all now too busy watching all our recordings to come and post!!!

I agree with you as regards the ‘Cut short recordings’. Before the update the problem was quite a regular event. The wife used to go berserk when she found only ten minuets of Coronation Street had been recorded. Since the update the problem has completely vanished. If fact I must admit that I find the Panny absolutely brilliant. I now find it quite amusing when I think back to the early days when I first purchased it. Missed recordings, cut short recordings and pulling the plug were a daily happening. But now, well, the old video recorder just cant compete..

Its a shame only 6 people seem to own one still these days! I was going to take my digifusion back to john lewis today and was offered the Panasonic PVR as a replacement because I wasnt happy with the Fusion. I could either have a new replacement Fusion or they would allow me to take their other PVR. The one they had was a fully working return with the price knocked down to £220. I have to choose whether to get the replacement fusion or the panasonic as a replacement. Is the panasonic better in any way?

Hope so, because ever since v0.57 that was done at the beginning of the week, I have been a bit disgruntled with the 100... Altho a bit faster than 0.47, I've found it to be a bit more unstable - not rewinding and pausing live tv properly (either doesn#t do it, or it takes about a minute to think and action it....) It has also hung a few mopre times than when I originally got the box in April!

Hope theres a v0.6x coming!

I had some funny issues with the panasonic PVR and returned it to john lewis. They offered to me the humax PVR but I had to wait until they had more stock so I pushed for a refund which they were very good about.

Not anymore, repeat downloads for IDTV, LCD and Plasma 24-26 May, but advanced notice of new download gone
