Fans of CASUALTY will be disappointed to learn that Actress Rebekah Gibbs today announced a shock departure from the show, later in the year.

Rebekah said, "I've had an extremely positive experience working on Casualty and have made some fantastic, life long friends. It has been an honour to work with such a professional team in front of and behind the camera. I'm looking forward to the future and whatever it may hold in TV and stage."

Her feisty character, technician Nina Farr, has been one of great discussion by the fans - some who love her and those that love to hate her.

The BBC added: "The actress will film her final scenes this May. The show are keeping tight-lipped about Nina's departure this summer.

what is going on? everyone is leaving, here is the list who has left and who is leaving.

woody - left
luke - leaving
bruno - leaving
nina - leaving

who will be next ?

Quite ironic isn't it, they work to save peoples lives only to end up in the very hospital you work at.

I liked Nina its ashame she's leaving, i can't stand Bruno so good ridance to him, Luke great as well *sighs* - gorgeous looks. LOL.

I think, especially looking at it recently, that they are trying to freeze out the paramedics. It may be that they are trying to turn the show around and that by not letting the paramedics feature may be a technique they are trying to reinvent the show so to speak.

To be fair Woody was axed, Bruno was only ever on a short contract, but sad news that both Nina and Luke will be leaving our screens, however it does leave scope for a dramatic storyline to tie in with the 20th anniversary.

In the last few episodes yes, but only because the christmas and halloween casualty @ holby city were so paramedic centric.
