Yes, even though I support Bonnie 100%, today it was announced that Sean's vote number was put under Bonnie's and thus she got his votes. Although she probably would have been in the top lot, Sean would also have been leaving Kelly and Stefan to battle it out. The mistake was announced in the site almost immediately but NOTHING was done and consequently Sean was booted!

I will keep you updated but do write your opinion!

Well if this is the case then one has to wonder if any other such mistakes have occurred over the weeks the show's been running....

Absolutely disgraceful if that's the case.

Poor Sean and Marika. They should still be in.

It's getting crackers that the better skaters are going each week and Kelly's still there.

On the assumption that no numbers were released do we actually know that Sean would have avoided the skate off; and why must we assume that Stefan was the beneficary. How do we know Bonnie would have gone through anyway - her skating was abysmal on Saturday. It could have been Bonnie and Kelly in the skate off - the stuff dreams are made of! I wish Sean was still in the competition; he was the most artistic of the celebrities and always one of my favourites, but on Saturday I think Stefan was the stronger skater.

I don't see any reason why Sean couldn't be asked back, followed by the eviction of two skaters. This wouldn't prolong the programme.

Stefan must wonder what he's done to deserve the controversy - last week he had to cope with the furore over Johns defeat - this week it's alleged he should have been in the skate off yet again. Well he got my vote and will again if he keeps up the good work!

Gosh!! Do ITV actually know what they are doing?? This proves that they haven't a clue!! Maybe something fishy too happened when John was given the boot, but heres pure evidence for Sean!!! So whats going to happen, Kelly Holme being crowned Queen of the ice??

Art echoing life? I find it quite hard to follow the figure skating marks now in worldwide competitions, and I find the voting system on DoI fairly unfathomable too, both from the judges and the viewers' points of view

There really isn't much excuse for such blunders

After looking at the amounts of votes, even if 90% of the Bonnie/Sean votes were Sean's - it would have still been Kelly and Stefan (also due to the judges' scores)

And are we really expected to believe that this was done accidentally?

I wonder just how many other times these kind of "accidents" have occurred.

Because we don't know the order of the public vote those stats. just don't hold up.

Stefan and Gaynor were joint third giving them 4 points each.
Kelly was second from bottom giving her 2 points
Sean was bottom giving him 1 point.

If, and it's a big if, Stefan came bottom with the public he would received 1 point giving him a total of 5.

Sean would have needed to be voted into third place to get 4 points, thus equalling Stefan. If the public vote takes priority this would have seen him through.

However he would have had to push David, Gaynor or Bonnie into fourth place - could he have done this?

Furthermore if Kelly was bottom with the public (as seems likely, given her increasing unpopularity) Stefan would have moved further out of harms way.

Tov be honest it's hard to judge how unfair it was until we know how the public voting went (Did Sean get a lot less votes than normal or Bonnie more)

I do think though although they like to keep the order of votes secret now because of this mistake they did ought to clarify the possible effect its caused

Or maybe they will have to have a show to vote back in someone (although the fact that they are out of practise won't make this easy)

It will just be forgotten and they will say that they have learnt from the mistake and wont happen again. Theres no way Sean will go back into the competition even if asked and to be honest i wouldnt blame him atall.

Its a fix and its now been proven. I think that people are going to be wary of voting and maybe not bother.

Thats the thing with ITV they cant seem to run anything smoothly.

It's such as shame that these blunders ( and this is only one that we've heard about), give way to the better skaters being booted out and the clingers on being left in the show.

Whilst I admire Bonnie's dancing ability I do think that her skating is pretty poor and without her partner showing her off to her best in the lift's she would probably deserve to be out on skating ability alone.

Sean was a solid skater and had the more difficult task of partnering a female and having to undertake the complexity of the lifts as well as staying on his feet.

John to me was probably the best of them all and I was so disappointed when he was voted out.

Kelly does not have great skating technique either nor is she the most graceful celeb. Kelly should have been out long before now...

Shame if the voting is selectively verified!!

it makes me wonder if john and olga were really in the bottom two through the public voting or if it was a cock up by ITV

Definitely an interesting occurance though and I bet John was affected too. My final 3 would have been Bonnie, John and Sean but hey!

i would have liked John, David and Sean in the final with Sean winning.

I know that he has put so much hard work into it and spending a lot of time away from his family(i know the others have too, but i dont know them) it seems such a shame that if has been voted off for the wrong reasons then it is bang out of order.

I dont think i will continue to watch it knowing what i found out about the votes. Seems pointless now because it is obvious who is going to win.

Those viewers who spent 50p a time phoning a premium telephone number must be feeling well cheated.

we would be in our rights to ask them to refund it. Ive spent a fortune thinking it was going to help Sean when all it did was help her get votes for a cr@p performance.

Yes indeed - whether or not it would have made a difference to the outcome people have still been cheated.

I decided after week 4 that the public voting was dodgy, I'm glad I didn't spend any money this week.

Im not sure that people couldn't demand a refund at least....you paid for something you simply didn't get! (a vote for sean).... or there should be a rematch....or playoff or something

I agree and I think ITV should do something to compensate them. If they want to ignore the public vote they should just rely on the judges verdict and forgo the extra income ...
