How do I change the resolution of my Samsung LE32R41BX?
I am updating the firmware on my Samsung LE32R41BX and the Samsung tech on the phone asked what resolution I have the TV set in... 720, 1080 etc. I know I have my Xbox 360 set at 720 but im not sure what the actual TV resolution is set at?

You can't change it, the resolution of the panel is fixed at 1366x768 pixels.
What it will do is automatically scale the image, depending on what you're feeding it in the first place.

I upgraded my firmware last week. BEWARE, Samsung sent me the wrong firmware on the CD. They sent a version called ROME (which is for the version without Freeview) not GREENWICH (which is for the version with Freeview). The result, my TV stopped working
Luckily I found the correct firmware from a friend on the Internet and re-uploaded it which fixed the problem. To give Samsung some praise, they sent an engineer that afternoon to check that everything was OK - so I can't fault their response to the initial mistake. |
