My unit seems to be working fine but I noticed yesterday while watching a recording that when I FF or REW no symbol appears in the top right hand corner indicating the speed ? Also when selecting a channel from the remote no channel number appears in the top left. I have gone through the menus and I can't see an option to change this. Am I being stupid?

Just a thought - is there any chance you've got the TV scart plugged into the Video/TV2 socket? As I understand it on my Fusion, these symbols and overlays are ommitted on the second scart so they don't show up when recording onto something else - I assume the Thomson is the same.

Thanks for that but the strange thing is it was working up until a couple of days ago..

this has happened to me a couple times
plug the unit out from the wall for 30 secs , and reconnect , should be fine
