I was just wondering, given that the shows been recommissioned, if anyone knows who, apart from Jake, Sam, and Mark, from the current cast have been axed??

God knows who they are bringing in and what will happen to most of them.

They have axed 17 cast members WOW

i didnt think it would be that bad. Ive never watched the show but at least ITV are giving it a chance for the viewers it does get.

Unlike the BBC and Eldorado i cant believe they would axe the best soap like that.

with the exception of Ray and Phil the axed cast will not be missed.

Okay now Ray,Billy, Jake, Sam and Eddie all have left the show, some due to other projects and some due to already quitting before the show ended ths run.

Definitley going are Abby, Des, Minty, Joanne and Beena.

Phil, Nicola, Virginia and the others have not been confirmed as yet to be leaving.

There are rumours that Honor Blackman may be joing the cast as Kate's mother as well so anything is possible unless it has been stated by Carlton.

Ms Grace (New Crossroads Guru) seems to be playing her cards close to her chest. Website Planet Crossroads will be interviewing her soon and maybe we'll all know what her intentions are for the show then.
It would be nice to see some of the old Crossroads' cast return. Although it would difficult to imagine Benny fitting in with this, reported, new Dallas in Dudley image.
Many of the current cast may have found new jobs when Carlton stopped recording the show in March/April. At that time Crossroads' future hadn't been decided. The actor who played Sam has moved on, though. He's Mike Baldwin's right hand man in Corrie.

I'm not saying that most of the cast were wooden, but I was amazed Crossroads wasn't sponsored by Ronseal 5 year Woodstain

If anyone can give Crossroads a kick up the preverbial, then Yvon Grace can.

I don't know who's lined up to come in, but according to a reliable source of mine, Yvon had designs on Bernie Nolan - who's leaving Brookie soon - before she signed up for The Bill.
