Corrie 15/2/06 Emily has to deal with Ed's shock
Rita and Deirdre listen sympathetically to Emily who is still in shock following Ed's revelation. She tells her friends she is in despair and no matter how hard she tries she can’t do her Christian duty and find it in herself to forgive Ed. Meanwhile, Sean manages to persuade Eileen to seek out Ed to find out why he is blanking her, so she visits Emily. A pale and tear-streaked Emily invites her in and slowly tells her the truth about ‘the man who calls himself Ed’ and how he killed Ernest all those years ago at Mike Baldwin’s factory. What will Eileen’s reaction be?
Over in the Platts’, Gail and David tease one another about Valentine's cards as Phil turns up with a bunch of flowers for Gail. But her happiness turns to shock when she gets a card through the door addressed to Mrs Gail Hillman. The card has a personal message in it which leaves Gail angry and confused. Who could send such a thing to Gail? And Claire receives an intimate Valentine through the post and is worried that it is one of the boys from Streetcars. She started to think that it has come from Steve, making Claire hand in her notice. But was the card really from her boss? Sorry don't know writer |

Another good epsiode with some good stuff from Emliy
I just hope they're not going to focus too much on Eileen and concentrate on Emily. More dross from Roy and Clifford. |

Great episode. Loved Emily's scenes. No Molly and Tyrone which was a big plus. I'm eager to find out who is the mystery sender of these cards and I'm sure this will be a great storyline. 8/10.

I'm enjoying seeing Eileen and Emily with a high profile storyline; so much better than Tyrone/Maria/Molly or Slapper/Jason

Emily proving a worthy actress again.
Even though it's dross from Clifford, I'm quite enjoying Hayley in all of this |

Probably the best episode of the week so far with less "filler" than we've had in the last three episodes.
The Roy / Hayley / Clifford stuff was less tedious tonight & it was good to see Hayley put her foot down about Clifford & his railway stuff. Roy reacting to her flippant comment about taking herself off to The Rovers by telling her it was a good idea was amusing. The Ashley / Claire / Valentine cards stuff was quite sweet. I'm not surprised that Claire get hold of the wrong end of the stick with regard to Steve as he was being more flirty than usual. Charlie & Tracy ~ yawn. How did Phil know that the Valentine card was for Gail if he didn't read the envelope first. David & Donk also live in the house & it could have been for either of them. Yet Gail clearly stated that it said "Gail Hillman" on the envelope. A case of some inefficiency by the script editors there methinx! The best stuff came from Emily in her chats with Eileen / Rita & Deirdre & featured another storming performance from Eileen Derbyshire as Emily. Her comments about Ed & her religion do raise a lot of valid points about forgiveness & whether the victims of crime can & should forgive those who have committed the crime once society has deemed that they've "served their time". It came as no surprise that Norris was completely embroiled in events. No doubt he only called Rita back to the Kabin to get an update about what was happening at Number 3 in his absence. Eileen, of course looked suitably shocked & this storyline also raises questions about how we deal with events that happened in someone's past before we met them. 8 out of 10. |

Good episode apart from the dross with Roy, the most unconvincing transexual Hayley and that Clifford bloke.

Another very good episode, really enjoyed the Emily and Eileen stuff and Norris isn't being nosey and is being helpful for a change.
The Valentine stuff with the Platt's was good if a bit low-key, but I wish Phil wouldn't keep on protesting that it wasn't him(because I want it to be him ). But it seems Audrey is suspicious of him, like she was with Richard. The Claire and Ashley stuff was OK, but I'm beginning to think that Claire and Ashley should be written out with Fred. Charlie and Tracey were good. Clifford  was horrid, but Roy and Hayley made the scenes better. 9/10 |

She is played to perfection by Julie and it's good that we aren't always reminded that she was a man although it does still come up in episodes. I still like her totter she does across the cobbles.

Hayley is excellent. Her pairing with Roy make them one of the best couples in Corrie IMO.

I always think of Hayley as a transexual, she just look peculiar, but I think she's a great characters and one of my favourites.
