Reading another thread about Plain Jane Superbrain from Neighbours got me thinking about Claire in Corrie.

Last night she looked pretty stunning... she's very pretty anyway, but why have the writers given her this really dowdy image, when in actual fact she's beautiful?

SThe actress is apparently also a really talented writer as well, and is currently writing a comedy series with a friend of hers.

Please Corrie writers, glam her up a bit!!

I thought she looked much better yesterday, think it was that her hair was down and the glasses didnt look so imposing... I think the point of glamming her up is so that

It's good he's coming back, as this story does need to be resolved at some point.

I don't think she died! But yes, she was definitely the better character of the two.

They do need to resolve it, I just wish they'd use another actor to do the resolving - his woodeness at times was astounding, and as someone pointed out on another thread, it revives horrible images of him and Maxine spitting champagne at each other

We seem to share the exact same thoughts quite often! Last night I looked at her in the cab office and thought she looked absolutely gorgeous. I never thought she was ugly or anything, or even plain, but it still seemed a shock.

I'm glad they're allowing her to look this pretty, but they shouldn't change her personality, well not much. This didn't work with Maria, who should have remained the dowdy-but-attractive dog lover. Now she's just bland and totally devoid of any depth.

I've always thought she was pretty, but I agree that they shouldn't go down the Maria route with her, who now seems to have no personality whatsoever. She never has any real chemistry with anyone she seems to be in a scene with... even Sarah and Kirk, who are the people she's apparently closest to.

Reading the above, I also hope they don't have her and Matt teasing an affair behind Ashley's back, as I think one of their strengths is that Ashley and Claire are so well suited, and have a fair bit of chemistry between them compared to other soap couples.

I am not sure what is going to happen but the impression from magazine/ net spoilers is that he is going to try and take her as well ... are Claire and Ashley leaving with Fred or are they staying to run the butcher empire?

Claire is an average looking girl with the personality of a thick plank of wood. She is perfectly suited to the helium voiced Ashley.
