i want to prevent my 530 H-S from using its own internal tuner to record. It is connected to a STB through which the signal is much better but if recording an analogue channel (1-5) the 530 automatically changes from av2/L1 to its own tuner. I am using Guide + to time the recording. Does anyone know how to force it to use the av2/L1?

I don't know the exact answer but I'll explain my situation...

I don't have any terrestrial reception at all so the internal tuner is never used. Guide+ gets its EPG data from the Sky box via the external input and it automatically gets the right channels and assigns them to the external input and the relevant channel number on the Sky box.

I think you might have two options:

1. Tell Guide+ to get its data from an external box not terrestrial. This is explained in the manual.

2. Edit the channel listings in Guide+ to specify external input (not tuner) together with the relevant digibox channel number. but in this case, the programme listings might not match up as its getting terrestrial listings but you're telling it to record from the external box, which might have a different version of the channel. Probably best to do 1. as at least you will get the correct listings.
