You can use your VOIP handset no problems with VoIPStunt. Just get the right version of the software that is recommended by your handset manufacturer.
Mine is a USB generic phone and I'm using VoIPBusterMate V 1.0.0.6 - only key that is inoperable is the cllear key and if you dial carefully you wont need it!! Google for the above if your handset maker has not supplied it on their website. |

USB phones aren't real VoIP phones, just glorified sound cards / speakers/microphones.
Now I'm not sure if the OP want to use proper VoIP phones, VoIP ATA or the USB toys. |

If USB phone then they are a bit hit and miss with which ones will works with the keypad on it, they will work for the conversations, as they are just a USB sound device. Proper VoIP phones and ATAs work fine, no problems with VoIP stunt, the LinkSys PAP2 is what I use for both VoIP Stunt and Sipgate. |

eBay has loads of cheap ones, but USB device isn't something I'd go for myself, as to me they are more toys or testers, you won't get the quality of a proper VoIP device, but then, if you only plan to use when a PC is on then it may be OK, I wouldn't know which to recommend over the other.
As I don't have a landline anymore, I use an ATA and that is now my regular phoneline. |

Yes, VoIP Stunt, VoIP Cheap, VoIP Buster, SIP Discount, Sipgate, Skypho etc will work fine.
So far I have over 10 months of free calls for no line rental. |

Not with Telewest, broadband is separate from the phone line. This is why a lot of people with TW are dropping the landline.
I tested VoIP for a few months, before ditching my BT landline, even though I had Telewest for broadband, I wouldn't touch their uncompetitive telephone service. |
