SIM Card Voltage
dodgygeeza

How can I find out what voltage my SIM card is running at? I'm looking into buying an unconnected handset and simply shoving my existing SIM into it. The handset I have my eye on can only operate with 3V SIMs, and my current phone is a Nokia 3210, purchased in October 2000. The SIM does not have its operating voltage written on it though.

All modern handsets & sim cards operate on 3 Volts. They changed over to the 3 Volt system around 1996 so you have nothing to worry about.

My 100th Post next stop 1000!

OK, thanks Everything Goes. Now I just have to find the money to be able to afford that nice new Motorolla V70
