The best US drama of the 80es, IMO.

They had some fantastic female characaters, especially Melissa and Emma.
When they left the show, it lost too mcuh, and the last season was awful, without Angela and Maggie as well.

There were so many great moments, Anna Rossini and Cass claiming Falcon Crest from Angela, the earthquake, the plane crash, when Melissa kidnapped Chase and Maggies baby, and drove into the ocean, and Chase had to rescue her, and then disappeared.
I think they left the door open for him to return, but he never did.

Last season had its moments though. Genele Ericsson played by Andrea Thompson was good. And when Emma shot Charley she was her good old self

Also loved Pamela Lynch! And Meredith Braxton. And Kim NOvak was GREAT in the season she was in it...

Who, I miss Falcon Crest

Anyone else liked it???

yes i loved it though it went off a bit when chase died. the last one they showed on itv was richard being shot then angela lighting a candle in a monastry or something and saying 'its about time you came back' leaving you wondering if it was chase or richard (it was obviously richard)

melissa was great, and the whole plot with julia shotting lana turner then everyone thinking she was dead, the plane crash, her being kidnapped by the cartel etc was fab

Yes, when I saw the scene with Angela and "tha man" it actually looked like Chase...

And Julia coming back from the dead, only Emma saw her, and of course nobody beleived her. Him I' m not sure if Emma actually told anyone about that.

Ursula Andress also made a guest appearance Linked to the cartel...

The 2nd last season had its moments, when Ana Alicia returned, but I never actually took to Pilar, even if she was OK...
Emmas love affair with Daniel Cabot was very well written and acted...

And, whoaa, Emma...

Let's play a game... "Murder at Falcon Crest". And then her boyfriend actually got murdered. She never was lucky in love, was she?

I did enjoy Falcon Crest.

In fact my favourite plotline was the earthquake.

I was quite young at the time, but even I figured out that when a beautiful seismologist turns up talking about tremors half way through a season , there's going to be a big one!

I was only young when this was shown but I seem to remember Lance being a bit of a looker.

Did they ever release a dvd of this?

I remember watching Falcon Crest but I can't remember much about it. There were 227 episodes made in total and I think I heard a rumour that all 227 episodes were coming out on dvd. If it was to come out on dvd, I would buy the lot. What would everyone else do?
