I just like to say that i have givin up on holby city forever as the storylines are boring

casualty is the best as they have great storylines. i have been a casualty fan for ages now and it still going strong with good storyline not like holby city.

i recorded tuesday's holby as i went out but then i could not be botherd watching it so i recorded over it, it just show how holby is rubbish.

by the way i have been watching holby city for 3 years and so i given up now

I disagree. Holby consistently turns out an hour of high quality drama each week, with a great balance of characters and storylines that millions of viewers regularly tune in for. Some weeks are better than others, but that's the same for all shows. At the moment they have one of the best cast (IMO) they've had in many years.

Quote '' recorded tuesday's holby as i went out but then i could not be botherd watching it so i recorded over it, it just show how holby is rubbish'' That doesn't show that Holby is rubbish, it shows you think it's rubbish.

Why record it if you were never intending to watch it? For all you know, it could have been the best episode the show has ever produced, but you wouldn't know this, because you simply couldn't be bothered to watch it.

Well answer this, in holby how come it don't show how people got hurt? but in casualty it does, it just shows casualty is the best for drama.

Because the basic premise of Holby is different. Casualty is about an A&E department, and has always shown how many of the injuries (although not all of them) do occur. Holby, on the other hand, deals with a hospital ward, so I wouldn't expect to see someone developing a heart condition over a number of years, for example. It deals with very different types of medical situations to those covered in Casualty. Otherwise, why bother having two shows?

Because that's what Casualty is about. Dear oh dear, it's in the title. Casualty. The whole basis of the show is to show us the accidents and then the aftermath in the hospital. If you liked Holby, then you'll know it's never been about this. The shows aren't mean to be blatant copies of one another.

Thank you. I was gonna harp on about the remit for Holby when commissioned was always to be Trust based, concentrating more on the politics, management (although admittedly that has diluted somewhat) and other wards elsewhere in the hospital..but thought it may contain too many long words for the OP to comprehend.

Who said that Casualty was crap?

As other posters have said, they may be based at the same hospital, but the remit for both shows are very different. In my opinion Holby City has a stellar cast at the moment. The likes of Connie, Elliot, Lola, Donna, et al, keep me tuning in week after week.

No, but you seem like you need a good literacy department. I gather Holby City Trust has one. Turn left past A&E.....

Well, from your poor grammar and illogical posts...yes.

It was just the tantrum you were having over which programme was best, it made me think you were considerably younger than you are

Mine too. One of the best characters to ever grace the show. Love her to pieces.

Now we're talking - not only one of the best characters in Holby, but on the box IMO. I love the way they now and then show a vulnerable side to her (Will dying...the revelation about her betrayal by her ex in Peckham a few weeks back) , totally disproving original notions of her having no emotions or no caring side.I could go on all day, but you're saved that as getting a little busy here at work !

Totally agree when she first started she was made out to be hard faced and powermad but we are finally seeing why she can be this way and like you said the softer side to her!

God i sound like im in love with her! I'll shut up now!

well i totally love Holby City i only started watching it about a month ago and totally loved it i think it is so better than casualty and ive watched Casualty for ages i just think that Holby has some really professional actors/actresses and i find it amazing how they do operations when they know nothing about it they must have to study really hard. Also i love connie and Eliott i think there great in the show as well as Sam Strachan but i think the rest are great as well.I find Holby more appealing to watch as you see them do operations where as in casualty you dont see them do anything like this you just see them do stiches and thats it
