Dawn is horrified when she catches Jean in bed with Terry - but Jamie finds the whole situation hilarious. The Dingles celebrate Samson's return home, but Alice is terrified he will stop breathing and Sam has a hard time putting her at ease
Looks like a good episode tonight. I was made up last night seeing Jamie walk in, and I hope that his part is a permament one, is it? I thought he was great in Hollyoaks, so I hope he is just as good here. And I hope Jean leaves soon as she is so annoying, Sam is just annoying me now as well, time for a new storyline not involving so many Dingles.

Sam & Alice = SWITCH OFF

I might just watch Channel 4 News...or perhaps Junior Mastermind?

Wish Terry would have slept with Vonda if it meant keeping her around.

Alex Carter hasn't made the transition from hammy acting in Hollyoaks to serious acting in Emmerdale well has he?

I just don't think that he's very good but he's not bad, he could be worse i.e. Matthew Bose.

Samson didn't look premature to me.

Unless they turned him into the male equivalent of Nicola, I think comparisons to Lee are going to be made... I personally like him, and think he's a breath of fresh air these last 2 episodes.

Him and Dawn are really good together too. I hope he livens her character up considering the battering it's had with the recent Danny story.

Is it my imagination or is Alex Carter just playing his role as "Lee Hunter"? Don't get me wrong I liked him in Hollyoaks, and it's nice he's back on our screens but it seems he's just playing the role of Jamie with the same mannerisms etc.

Surprised at the way Paddy yelled at Terry....."You enjoyed it"!

Makes you wonder about the relationship he had with Emily.

Yes I think that that's my problem with him.

I can still cope with him though so he's not unbearable.

Oh my god that tacky "next time" feature is still there...terrible!

Anyways another good episode tonight.

I don't like Sam and Alice though.

My highlight of the episode was the stuff with Jean and Dawn etc.

Do they finish any of the other UK Soaps with a "next time" or is Emmerdale unique in this respect.

It's quite obvious that Alex Carter was only cast as Bob's son BECAUSE of his role in Hollyoaks, as it was the exact type of character they were looking for. I don't see the problem...they liked him in Hollyoaks and knew they were onto a safe bet playing the role they wanted. He doesn't strike me as "amazing", but delivers his lines well enough and seems to have some life in him, so nothing to complain about.

As for Dawn, well let's face it, she would have moaned no matter WHO Jean had slept with...or Terry for that matter. Why does she have to whinge about EVERYTHING? It's not even funny.

The episode was good, but it's very much Sam/Alice overload...I'm glad the twisted Turners (featuring MC Eagleton ) are back though. And Steph had her hair down!

Me too!

All in all, though, a pretty dull episode.
