I want to know what you guys think of the OC, and rather than sit you down in front of an episode, thought why not just watch a clip so you get the idea.

This clip is from the end of Season 2, and features the death of one of the main characters, and the reconciliation of the younger ones. This episode also was the first time ever Coldplay's Fix You was heard - long before their album X&Y was released!

The mix of happiness and tragedy is perfectly balanced... It was so gripping and well done.

I just love that whole sequence when Fix You starts, with Caleb dying, then Sandy getting the call and everything... its so well done

Those who've watched it - what did you think? Were you impressed or did you think it was cheesy and crap?

My honest opinion? T his was my first time watching the O.C. and I didn't reckon much to it. The start bit as you said was so "teeny" and all too American (I know it is in America but I just hate these type of scenes).

The next bit I got confused with the over sweaty woman, had she poisoned the man or something? If so, then ok interesting, if not then who the hell is she?

This may just be me not knowing any of the characters but I got quite bored with the end bit and her finding out about her dad's death. I doubt I had the time to build up any sympathy for her.

I thought it was ok, but I did expect something a bit better seeing as lots of people think it's fantastic.

EDIT: It was nice to be able to watch it on the internet instead of downloading something and risking the health of my computer. Others, take note.

Well, she was going to poison his drink because he was trying to divorce her, and she would get none of his money, but she couldn't go through with it. However, he suffered a heart attack anyway.
At least you're honest, it's not going to be to everybody's tastes. But I think if you knew the characters better you would come to love the sort of cheesiness of the first bits, and like the drama of Caleb's death would hit home more.

good idea mattpond but my favourite clip, best part of season 2, is when then stage the intervention and everyone tells kirsten why she needs to go into rehab. Had me in floods of tears, if you've got that one i reckon upload, that 2!
