Kevin do we like him?
Bracey fan

He made his first appearance in tonights episode and has certainly made his mark. But the question is do we like him from what we've seen? You only have to look at page 3 onwards of todays episode thread:
http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/...ighlight=kevin
To see that the majority of people posting like him. I do. It'll be interesting to see what he gets upto in his time on the square.

From first impresions I really like him. Strangely I like all of the new arrivals so far. Kate Harwood's reign has brought us some great new additions - unlike Kathleen Hutchison who brought us Ruby

I really like him, but I'm a fan anyway. I've been really excited about him joining and I think the new Wicks family will be a great addition.

On face value i surpose he will make a great character. He's seems not to have been 'blessed' with the arrogance Shane Ritchie had, which is a good thing

It's too soon I agree but my initial response is no. I think they need to focus on current/new character eg Stacey and Bradley not bring characters from "back in the day"

Not sure but I think they think they'll get their unrivailed sucess back if they bring back the past, kind of. For me Dirty Den didn't work (partly because he should have been dead) and I doubt he will either.

Secondly I associate Kevin with Deano (naturally) who I associate with Dawn. That's bad! Very bad!

But that said I will keep a part of my mind open to see how this develops.

He's never been in it before. So their not bring characters back technically.

Really? I thought he must have been in it before my day. You know, when Pat was young.

He knows Pat from before when his uncle Brian was married to Pat many many years ago. He hasn't actually been in it before

Kevin is a great character, and fits in as if he's been there for years. Funny, and the cockney charm is apparent. Great character.

BTW, are these 'Do we like them' threads going to be a strand?

I think Phil Daniels as Kevin Wicks is absoutely excellent from first impressions, he's extremely true to life as I've met people like him.

so far so good, but we really havnt seen alot of him, wonder if his dad would like to put in an apperance, so we can see better hows hes related to Pat, it can get a bit confusing.

and adding to existing familys is a good thing in my book, even if the Wicks family is a new family with an old name.

its a shame they cant bring back one of the old Wicks clan however

It's like an ITV show. 'After they were famous' or something like that.
