Really need help with UTSTARCOM F1000
PLEASE someone help it's driving me mad. I have a linksys wireless router (WAG54G)unsecured with no restrictions on mac addresses and just default settings. My neighbours wireless is also unsecured. My ISP Blueyonder doesn't have any restrictions on ports or block voip stuff as far as I know, do I have to alter my router settings away from default?
If i press search it comes up with 'linksys' (my SSID) I press save and save it in say position 1, it says ok and asks me 'null' '64bit' or '128bit' I select 'null' as my network is unsecure right?, it says ok and goes to 'connecting to linksys'.... then 'registering via linksys' sometimes thats it it does nothing else, sometimes it reboots by itself and sometimes it says 'cannot connect to ap' or 'no service try other ap' So I switch on the UTSTARCOM F1000 and set the wifi setting to auto search, I enter all the settings for sipgate making sure to note the charactor case. It's just the same as above. What am I doing wrong !!! I have followed the instructions ahhhhhhhhhhhhh My wifi settings are as follows: Wifi config: authentication 'null' SSID&Wep all 4 positions have linksys with the SSID matching my network, WEP key 'Null', Wep Key index (no idea what this is, but I have tried it on 1,2,3&4. Autoscan 'enable' Network parameter DHCP 'enable' I've tried without ! DNS says Primary 0.0.0.0, secondary 0.0.0.0 SIP as per instructions for sipgate RTP port 10010 STUN disabled Stun Server port 3478 I also tried disabling DHCP and entering the IP address of my router (and my neighbours naughty i know) and the subnet etc, but that didn't make any difference. PLEASE HELP I"M TEARING MY HAIR OUT !!!!! Last edited by James Clayton : 18-02-2006 at 02:47. |
