I still don't think QVC should be Q1.

Who is he under now? He's known as tumble tower on TV forum and he is annoying everyone with his TV channel coding over there.

I notice that the OP has never come back to explain himself. Maybe he thinks we're all nuts!

I suggest this thread be bumped once per month for sheer comedy value.

Congratulations to you all - this thread made me splutter my Corn Flakes all over the keyboard just now - I must've laughed out loud dozens of times.
The DaVinci-TV Code is hilarious, but how the OP ever thought it would catch on is unbelieveable. (In our house, for those unfamiliar with which-channel-is-where, those of us who know them quite well ALWAYS refer to them by number. So my mum wanted to see Big Brother's repeat on Channel 4+1 and yells upstairs "What's the number?" and I yell back "135!" - no confusion, no code, no mess! Sometimes people come up with these daft ideas and think everyone else will catch on, but not when they are 100% insane. (For example, if the BBC wanted News 24 to be referred to - even remotely! - as 'B7', they would have decided to call it BBC7 - but they didn't! They wanted it to have a brand and be clearly understood and referred to by its name - BBC News 24, or News 24! Having said all that, no point in getting into a big discussion, but this thread was an absolute hoot! Here in Ireland, lots of people have their TVs tuned in all kinds of orders - I always perfered Irish channels first, followed by the UK ones (1. RTE1 2. RTE2 3. TV3 4. TG4 5. BBC1 6. BBC2 7. UTV 8. Ch4 9 Five) but you'd be amazed at the jumbles of those orders (mostly because TV3 and TG4 didn't arrive until 1997/8. Point being - just cos I thought my order was the smarter one didn't have me going around convincing people my 'code' was the right one! The OP needs to let this one lie - either that or take on a new career as a comedian. His inability to let go was priceless. |

When I want to know what is on Free view I start at 1 - BBC 1.
After running a full sweep of the channels in numeric order I can only come to one conclusion that they are listed in the order of quality of content! lol BBC 1 being the best and so forth! A pretty pointless thread |

Now UKTVG2 is being renamed to "Dave", what would the channel code be for it?
