FORMER EastEnders and Hollyoaks actor Ross Davidson who played Andy O'Brien in EastEnders gives his last interview to News Of The World today.

The actor has a brain tumor which last year in March gave him only a year to 18 months to live. He says.. 'I dont like going to bed too early.'' as he wants to spend as much time with his four children, aged 11, 13, 15 and wife Barbara.

'We wont tell Drew (His son - who's just just seven years old) untill we need to.' he says.

He also talks about his days as Andy in EastEnders, and working with Wendy Richard a.k.a Pauline Fowler for the first time.

He got hitched to Barbara in May of last year after finding out the tragic news just weeks before. 'Money is nothing now. I have woke up every morning trying to come to terms with this.' He says; 'I thought I'd live forever! I went to the doctors before I was diagnosed and he said: ''With a heart like yours you'll live forever!'' Strange how things turn out.'

I read the whole interview and it's so tragic looking at a picture of him with his son. It's really movimg aswell - he's so brave to go though that and to talk openly about the rest of his life when he isnt really to sure that he does have one.

Oh the poor man. And his poor family. I'll have to read that interview. God, I'm about to cry now, I get so emotional like that, I feel so much for his kids and his wife.

Im watching C4 and Coldplay are singing their sad songs and it's even worse. Just reading my thread doesnt really give the same effect the interview does - the pictures of him and his kids are so tragic once you read the story.

Yes, I'll have to read it. Gosh, I didn't even know he was ill. I think he was in Hollyoaks a few years back as well, I might be wrong though.

How sad

Actually I had thought he had died quite a while ago. I must have heard about the diagnosis and thought it was a death announcement I guess.
I'll always remember those Admiral Insurance ads he did

I haven't posted on DS for a little while, but I felt the need to after reading this.
My sister came round for our weekly get together and chat, three weeks ago on the Thursday as fit as a fiddle, on the Sunday, she had a fit stopped breathing and her heart stopped on Monday we were told that she had had a miner stroke, on the Tuesday we were told she had a very small something in her brain. Every single day the news has got worse, going from fit and healthy to losing the use of her arm and leg, slurry speech being in a wheelchair etc

Three days ago, we were given the news that she had a very deep brain tumor, and there is nothing they can do for her They are going to give her high doses of steroids and a few shots of chemo to try to hold if off for a while, but they said she could have a week, month, year or more . But seeing the damage it has done in three short weeks, I am feeling pretty negative at the moment

My heart goes out to Andrew and his family, as I know exactly what they are feeling right now

Remember people life is short and you never know whats round the corner, grab it with both hands, and live it to the full and enjoy every single second
