Have a look here:
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=158800 ...bottom of post, under 'Downgrading firmware'. There's two methods; one with button-pressing together with power-on, the latter a mechanical way to open the tray. |

I've got one with the same problem, i got the disc out the mechanical way. Other method wouldn't work.
Are you saying a firmware flash fix that muska? Or just how to get the disc out? |

Just to get the disc out...
Firmware flash may or may not bring benefits. |

Ah ok, ta.
If you flash it with the disc and it works let me know tony. I don't have the equipment to burn the disc. |

Now you have the disc out, try the firmware downgrade, then upgrade back to where you were. This has worked for some.
If that doesn't work, then it's a fault that probably only the factory can fix. Apparently Philips have recently reduced their out-of-warranty repair price to £80; see this thread on the CD Freaks site. |
