Again... love your posts.

Lorraine was quite dull I thought. Joe had potential, but was limited to what Paul Nicholls could do with him. his accent (I know he was from Manchester), didn't seem to fit his breakdown somehow, and it was so badly acted towards the end.

Would be interesting to see the relationship between her and Grant if she did come back though.

I actually think that some of the stories going on at the time of Lorraine and Joe being in it were worse than most going on over the last 2 years of EE lull.

Joe wallpapering his room with newspaper
Sarah getting caught shoplifting and becoming a religious fanatic
The dreadful Irish Beale clan...
Miserable Ruth ("Marruk") Fowler

Do you know what I think... although Phil Mitchell is considered a bit of a gangster, and hardman in Eastenders... he is actually one of the best actors they have in terms of comic timing, subtleties in his delivery and pure drama (he can cry on screen with the best of them).. I really wish they'd try and distance him from all the gangster stuff now, and develop his actual character more, and allow him to be funnier than he currently is. (Although not taking it as far as the current Garry/Minty rubbish they seem to love)
