Who was that acoustic rapper that performed at the NME awards last night? I tuned in half way through and was amazed at the powerful performance. I think the song was called No more eating for you. A British Eminem in the making?

I didn't see the show, but the only hip-hop artist I know was scheduled to perform was Plan B.

I think that is probably him, it was sort of dark confessional mcing over a quiet acoustic guitar. Has he got an album i could buy? He was the stand out act of the show although Babyshambles were good too.

I actually had to switch over when he was on. I have a fairly broad musical taste but Plan B last night was terrible.

I think that the music press are getting over-awed by the whole urban poet thing at the minute. Anyone who seems gritty or from the streets is instantly an inner city hero. Sure he is fairly unique in that you don't see that many acoustic rap crossover acts but I reckon there is a reason for that.

I've only heard that performance at the NME awards so I'm going to keep my ears open over the comming year. Prove me wrong Plan B - but so far so bad.

Totally Agree MrKev.

It was more like slam poetry than rap to me.

I think Plan B is slightly over-rated at the moment, Radio 1 have picked up on him and therefore everyone seems to think he is amazing. He hasnt proven anything yet but he could take off.
