Is that Blunt album ever going to stop selling? I mean, will it EVER drop out of the top 10 at least? (I realise this is not this week's top 10). The way things are going not only will Back To Bedlam have been last year's best-selling album (if that is correct) but it will also be THIS year's.

I think Simply Red's Stars was a top seller for two consecutive years.

Absolutely correct, in 1991 and 1992. Although it couldn't have sold anything like the number Back To Bedlam sold in each of those years as its total sales are 'only' 3.6 million. Still an amazing feat, though. No way Blunt will have this year's biggest selling album, though. Lots of big hitters releasing albums this year, plus I can't see him overtaking the Monkeys, either (although he overtook Coldplay last year even though they were 700,000 ahead of him at one stage!).

However, at the current rate of sales (and not even allowing for it being the 'quiet' time of year) he could be number 2 or 3 in the best selling UK albums of all time list come the end of the year.
