Gladiator & Wharfedale 7500

It seems the Special ED extras disk does *not* like my DVD-750 at all. Gets past the studio logo then kills it stone dead. No response to the remote etc. R2 disk.

Movie itself seems to play OK. Is the second disk the only difference between the 'standard' and 'special' editions? If so I might send it back to streets and get a swap..

Don't send the disk back to the shop. It does'nt work on any Wharfedale 750. Mine is the same. I had the Upgrade chip fitted 2 weeks ago and now this. The best selling DVD of all time does'nt work on the best selling player.

Has anyone had trouble with Gladiator R2 on the Sony 735? Nothing big to report on yet, but the 1st menu screen seems to break-up at the same point every time on disc 2.

Wilks,
What upgrade chip? I have a Wharfedale 750 bought from Tesco hacked for Multi Region. Is the hack necessary?

For those who are having problems, we have heard that Blackstar are aware of the problem and will refund the disc for their customers

The Upgrade chip is for the first generation 750's which do not play 'Jaws'. The Gladiator disk 2 has the same problem as I had with the Jaws disk. There is no fix chip for Gladiator at this moment because it's new.

My Sony 725 is fine with the gladiator second disc (i've got the R1 though - don't think it makes a difference though)
