I have been reading your posts for the last couple of weeks and feel I would like to add my comments now, having just watched the skate-off tonight.

I must admit that I thought the correct two were in the skate-off, and I jumped to my feet shouting YES when David and Pam did their final spin. However, there is no doubt in my mind that Bonnie has improved over the last couple of weeks and this got me thinking.

The fact is, the judges expect the lady to be lifted and be graceful at the same time. For her, it cannot only be how well she skates on the ice, but how well she holds herself during the lifts. When she did her solo spin, I knew then she would go through, and I hope she continues to improve for next week's final. The men however have a much tougher competition since they are expected to do the leading and lifting (we saw how Sean could not cope with that) and be able to skate obviously well. In this I thought Stefan was slightly better than David.

So, should there really be two prizes, one for the male celebrity and one for the female?

Very sad to see David and Pan go out tonight. I had a tear in my eye when they managed that lift.

I think what swung it for Bonnie was her pulling out that spin. And if I heard right it's the public that decide next week not the judges! Yay!!!!!

I'm hoping that Jayne and Chris do their Bolero routine next week. There'll never be a better pair of figure skaters ever.

I thought that David did really well considering he and Pam could hardly practice all week - she was recovering from her injury during the first half and he was sick the last three days. Stefan skated better tonight but I find David more elegant to watch and he seems safer on the ice - he could have done the bolero justice had he made it through - as the three finalists certainly will next week. However, he can be proud of his performance in the skate-off and pleased with the audience reaction which was far more enthusiastic than Bonnie's was. I can't see her winning as she doesn't seem to have the same public support as the others.

Yey! So glad Stefan got through on the public vote because if he'd been up against Bonnie I think he'd have gone.

The thing that annoyed me tonight was the judges' marking (again) Once again using different criteria for each performance. They more or less said that as Stefan went first they couldn't mark him too high in case better followed and I really don't think they did compare performances. How did Bonnie's performance get the same mark as his when she completely messed up the compulsary spin?

It was clear some of them felt from the start that David should go as they said "don't go for the sympathy vote" In the end I think it was the right result.

I expect Bonnie will be third as it's down to the public but anything could happen if the routines go wrong and I really can't say who'll win although I would like it to be Stefan and Kristina.

I think there are problems when the judges have to get rid of John because of one less that amazing performance, explaining how they 'have to judge on that performance alone', yet tonight they freely admit that part of their viting was that Bonnie had been consistent throughout.

Disaster. Gaynor to win, her smiling is infectious!

Great show tonight, they all did well and the end result was fair.

I'm expecting Gaynor to come out on top next week with Bolero - think it will suit her style best. Really looking forward to next Saturday

Just got round to watching last nights show- as was out, really enjoyed it - all the celebs have come on leaps and bounds throughout the show. I think that I enjoyed Gaynor and Danielsroutinethe best, closely followedby Stefan and Kristina -I think that he has a lot of work to do, with regards to lifting and stuff.
It will be an interesting final next week, and I am reserving judgement till then of who I want to win......................it's quite comfy on this fence
