I have been reading your posts for the last couple of weeks and feel I would like to add my comments now, having just watched the skate-off tonight.
I must admit that I thought the correct two were in the skate-off, and I jumped to my feet shouting YES when David and Pam did their final spin. However, there is no doubt in my mind that Bonnie has improved over the last couple of weeks and this got me thinking.
The fact is, the judges expect the lady to be lifted and be graceful at the same time. For her, it cannot only be how well she skates on the ice, but how well she holds herself during the lifts. When she did her solo spin, I knew then she would go through, and I hope she continues to improve for next week's final. The men however have a much tougher competition since they are expected to do the leading and lifting (we saw how Sean could not cope with that) and be able to skate obviously well. In this I thought Stefan was slightly better than David.
So, should there really be two prizes, one for the male celebrity and one for the female?
