Things are likely to change somewhat next week in terms of the balance of power. Up till now the celebs - esp certain red headed female ones - could rely on being shoved around the ice by the professionals. Next week they're doing Bolero, which was probably the most dance skating centric of all TandD's routines.
Bonnie will not be able to just hang off her partner
Gaynor and Stefan will be at a bigger advantage as they can actually skate. Of the two of them, I'd say Stefan is the one most likely to be able to carry it off, although Gaynor will clearly give it a good stab.

I agreed until I heard that they could do their own interpretation of Bolero. That means that Bonnie could fly her way through and gain favour. However, Gaynor and Stefan are gaining favour while Bonnie's popularity seems to be on the wane

Bonnie won't get the public vote and there's no skate off so judges don't decide.

Could their own interpretation though, mean that they will be doing a watered down version ? As they is no way time will permit them to do the whole routine or that any three of the skating partnerships left will be anywhere near good enough to pull off some of the original routine.

So I am thinking maybe it is just selected sections of Bolero they will be doing, rather than just ice skating to the music or surely what they were working towards wouldn't make much sense ?

I think they'll probably watch T&D's Bolero and pick out parts they think they can handle then work out a routine around that. The good thing is though that the bolero contains very few spins and lifts so if they are picking out bits of the original Bonnie is still stuffed. According to the TV guide it says all 3 will perform a normal dance then the celeb with the lowest votes will leave and the final show will just have the final two doing the bolero. But then on ITV2 and according to T&D they are ALL going to be doing an original piece AND bolero so something is wrong somewhere

It may be like strictly come dancing.

all three will perform a routine. the one with the lowest overall score will leave the competition. but they will still perform their Bolero.

Then the phone lines will reopen and then the remaining two couples will perform their bolero.

If this does happen, this will be boring as there won;t be much skating/dancing. As on SCD each couple performed 2 dances, a group dance AND a freestyle.

We'll just have to wait and see

does anyone really think the celebs will be doing the orginal version of the Bolero

they will do a version that will suit their style of skating, they will all be different and all will be entertaining

so what if there are lifts, so what if it is different to the original

why cant we all sit back and enjoy it instead of having a dig at the skaters

Thank goodness Jason cannot threaten the rest of the judges as that's what I think has been happening .Did you see their faces last night on ITV2?
