Pio 630. Block of EPG entries "vanished"

I used EPG to set 4 programmes to record to HD. Three of them scheduled throughout the Sunday evening had recorded OK. The 4th was scheduled to start at 00:15 hrs (i.e. Monday, just) but I noticed that the 630 hadn't switched on as expected.

Looked at my schedule and this 4th programme was listed as due to record (the previous 3 scheduled programmes had recorded OK).

However when I looked at the EPG grid all entries were blank up to 05:00 hrs Monday. But the missing entries were there when I set up my 4 programme recording schedule at the beginning of Sunday evening.

Any suggestions as to why the EPG entries covering the 5 hour period 00:01 hrs to 05:00 hrs just vanished without trace? From 05:00 hrs on, all EPG entries are present.

It's no big deal as I was around to intervene and record my 4th programme manually. But I sure would like to know why a block of EPG entries should disappear like that.

It's possible that you've accidentally interrupted it mid-way through an update of the EPG (after it deleted the old information, but before it downloads the new information)

Could be - never thought of that. I watch out for it in future.

The EPG updates in the early hours which is in line with what I expected. But it also updates sometime during afternoons which came as a bit of a surprise (and inconvenience).

Thanks for help.
