If you saw someone eating a Big Mac, then I assume you must have been in McDonalds..... You've assumed wrong I don't like junk food and if I'm hungry McDonalds wouldn't be on my list as a place to eat. People don't necessarily eat the food in the shops... Most of the time they are on public transport hence why one cannot help but to notice
I understand that fat people have to eat but its the type of food which some eat that makes me think.
What can we do?.....Live with it, or educate younger people not to eat McDs, BK's, KFC's etc..... Start by not using these places yourself....encourage your children to stay clear as well. You may not be fat, but your children will be if you encourage them in these establishments. I've never encourage my kids to eat that type of food. Fried chicken, once in a while...
Please read my post carefully, I don't think you quite understand the point I made...

OK I'll hold my hands up....I may have read your post wrong, it's just it really gets my goat when people have a go at someone because they are different....and I don't mean just fat.
Diabetes is a known pitfall for people who are overweight, and if this guy you saw eating 2 bars of chocolate was a diabetic, then it's more than likely it was his overindulgence with chocolate that caused his diabetes. Vicious circle!!!!
The point of my post was, that we need to educate our children to be more carefull with what they eat, and if you are doing that with your children, then I take my hat off to you.
People who are debilitated by obesity should be encouraged to change their lifestyles, most are lonely people with no self esteem, and it is not helped if they are frowned upon for the way they look, or what they eat, as this only serves to make them more guilty of eating.
I may be generalising, but it is a sick world in which we live, and it is not helped by the media.
I don't know if you saw BBLB when Kate had won, and she went to Oxford St. with Alison?
She was complaining that she had put on loads of weight, and had ballooned up to a size 12....and it was said matteroffactly, to Alison, who I'm sure dreamed of being a size 12 instead of a 22!!....I bet she was really concerned for Kate at that moment.
