Which Sim For Abroad ?
Hi
I am going on Holiday for two weeks to Tenerife I want to take a mobile with me so that I can stay in contact. Question is which is the cheapest tariff to use abroad for sending / receiving texts and for making and receiving calls I have access to sims / phones as follows O2 monthly 200 / 100 inclusive mins / text Three T & T 750 750 / 150 inclusive mins / texts Virgin PAYG I know the calls will be in excess of my monthly inclusive minutes so which is the cheapest to use |

C/phone Warehouse do a sim pack exclusively designed for travelling abroad. Not sure what they call it but it offers cheaper calls to/from the UK when roaming abroad.

Why not get a PAYG SIM Card when you get to Tenerife instead? That way it would be cheaper all round instead of having to pay roaming costs.
Virgin Mobiles Pay As You go By Direct Debit seems cheap for Roaming. If you want to use a UK SIM Card. |

Carphone's Mobile World won't work, no roaming with that tariff so you can't use it abroad.
![]() It really depends on how you use your phone which will be cheaper. 3's tariff: http://www.three.co.uk/explore/cover...ntype=ThreePay O2's tariffs are here, under 'spain' http://travelabroad.o2-uktech.com/location.php Though with O2 you can pay £2.99 and get an international type add on for pay monthly that makes calls cheaper, Or get yourself a Pay As You Go SIM card and you get one 1 minute call & one text message free for every week you are abroad. http://www.o2.co.uk/personal/abroad/...0,,121,00.html Virgin's tariffs are here: http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/s...home/index.jsp (select Pay As You Go & Spain from the drop down lists) |

I go to Spain a lot and have a PAYG Spanish Voda SIM. I don't get many calls from UK, but I make quite a few back to the UK. Seems very cheap and very easy to recharge.

it's imaginatively called sim4travel check it out @ http://www.sim4travel.com/ most cpw stores should now have these or be able to order them through instant ship. hope this helps |

You need a Vodafone SIM card and register for Vodafone passport. That way it will only cost you 75p per call plus what you pay at home, so you can use your inclusive minutes as well.
Incoming calls are just 75p per call as well. Works on pay-as-you go and contract. All you have to do is use a Vodafone Network. Better than paying 75p-£1.00 per minute! I've saved heaps in roaming charges. |

Hi
I bought a Spanish Vodaphone PAYG sim it only cost approx 20 cents per text some were not even charged. Do these S VF PAYG cards have a top up / usuage requirement , be handy to just slip it back in on my next hols but I was wondering if a minimum top up every cetain number of weeks / months ? and do I need to use it in a certain time frame if not it will be cancelled ? |
