I think ITV puts talent shows on tv, just to make advertisement for the people to watch their channel and nothing else. Like the X factor shayne ward won just because of his looks and because he was the most popular act.

I think ITV research on who they think the public like the best and who is the most popular. After that they mix up the votes to get the most popular act in next week untill they win!

I'm more concerned why ITV feels the need to charge people to vote (excluding SCD since the money from there goes to charity) when the US manage to make it free to vote for American Idol.
